Welcome to YBC – Forest Lake! Just 27 miles northeast of St. Paul, Forest Lake is a quiet and quaint boating destination for fishermen and families alike. The lake itself is a series of 3 interconnected lakes, with Lake 1 linking to Lake 2 and Lake 2 linking to Lake 3 by clearly marked channels. The YBC marina is located on Lake 1 at Lakeside Park in Downtown Forest Lake.
Don’t be fooled - though Forest Lake is considered one of our metro locations, it’s a great destination if you’re looking to stay closer to the cities but get that feeling of solitude.

Parking: Available right in the city lot on site for the park. Please limit your vehicles to two vehicles per boat to ensure adequate parking for all park patrons.
Check-In: At the blue boat house located on the docks.

Popular fishing includes: Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskellunge, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Bullhead Species, Rock Bass, Yellow Perch.
According to the DNR, “Forest Lake is a popular fishing lake. Largemouth Bass and Walleye are favorite targets of many anglers, and it is becoming an increasing popular site for Muskellunge angling.”

Tubing is allowed for members only. Tube & rope available for members with a boat reservation, at no additional cost with annual membership.

Ice: No ice for sale on site.
Gas: Gas is available to the public.
Rental and member boat reservations will come with a full tank of gas. This is separate from the boat rental cost and you will be charged for the fuel you use on your trip upon your return.
