What Is Your Boat Club?

I’m going to tell you what YBC is all about, how Memberships work, why so many people love it, and then I will show you what to do next to see if or when the perfect Membership will be available.

Pre-season enrollment just ended and the Spring madness is upon us. We are adjusting our fleet and splashing 100s of boats!  We currently have a hold on accepting new Memberships at some locations and/or Membership levels, as we make final fleet adjustments based on current and projected demand.

We take the hassles out of boating!  Our Members get access to a fleet of over 400 boats at over 40 locations.  Simply make a reservation, show up and we help you with your gear, you enjoy the day on the water, return to the dock and throw us the keys and head home.  We take care of the rest.  No joke, what a great idea!

So, How Does It Work?

Not only do we have the nicest and newest fleet of boats (the average age of our fleet is under 18 months), but our staff provides the highest levels of customer service in the industry.  Rigid Member-to-boat ratios and capacity monitoring will ensure the best boating experience.  Whether you want to return to the water or become a boating family, we’ve got you covered!

The most important factor in a club, or a sharing business model, is efficient use of the assets.  We want our members to enjoy great availability and we want our boats to be enjoyed as much as possible.  The YBC Membership model continuously evolves, and as we gain efficiency, we can offer a better service to our Members at a better value.

All memberships in Your Boat Club have two main components, Membership Type and Pier Level.

  • Membership Type - This determines when you can access the boats and how many reservations you can have at any one time.

  • Pier Level - This outlines how many and what size or type of boats you have access to.

Membership Types

People value different time slots and on-water activities differently, so we have three membership types: Explorer, Executive, and Early Bird. What kind of Member are you? Read on to find out!

EXPLORER MEMBERSHIP

With 7-day-a-week access to unlimited boating, the Explorer Membership is our Number One choice for families looking for fun, relaxation, and adventure. Two reservations at a time, one for a weekend afternoon with Monday-Sunday access to boats, including weekends and holidays.

This is our most popular Membership!

*After one-time initiation. Not available in all markets, subject to availability. Call for options 612-208-1800. Pricing is for Pier 1 access to all locations.

EXECUTIVE MEMBERSHIP

Our Executive Members have freedom in their schedules to boat during the week and enjoy the flexibility weekday boating affords! Executive Members get two reservations at a time and Monday-Thursday access to boats.

This Membership works great for teachers, retirees, or simply those who have other activities on the weekends!

EARLY BIRD MEMBERSHIP

The early bird gets the worm! Beat the crowds and enjoy morning weekday boating with our Early Bird Membership. Our Early Birds get Monday-Thursday AM boating (no holidays) and one reservation at a time.

This Membership is perfect for those with maximum flexibility in their schedules who enjoy the quieter day part, morning boating. Our Early Birds love to fish and enjoy traveling to our different locations for their catch of the day.

Pier Level

I’m sure you understand that location, demand, water conditions, boat size, and boat type can all significantly impact our operating costs.  Our fleet is split into separate groupings called Piers: Pier 1 to Pier 4.  Typically as you go up in Pier, you get access to more boats, the boats get bigger and nicer. This is how we keep costs down and keep it fair for everyone in the club.

We are boaters and we love boating! We believe the variety of our locations and boating experiences, should be accessible to all of our Members.  So, every location will have at least one Pier 1 boat.  Each location has a recommended Pier level that will assure great boat availability and a fleet paired for the experience and water conditions for both safety and enjoyment.

Fleet Management

The boats in each Pier are based on our target or ideal fleet at each location during peak boating season and peak demand. The exact fleet makeup may vary at any particular time for a couple of reasons:

  • Boats break and are sometimes damaged, needing to be pulled out of service for repairs.

  • Boats age out of our fleet. We are constantly replacing and upgrading with new boats, which at times will not be the exact same make or model. This is how we provide the nicest and newest boats!

We consistently adjust our fleet to best match demand, ensuring our Members the best possible availability. Managing our fleet is certainly one of the most important and challenging aspects of our business, we understand how it directly impacts your experience and enjoyment, and we are pretty darn good at it. We know boats, it what we do.

Our Members Come First

We take care of our Members first, meaning that once you are in the Club, we  will make sure we find the right Membership for you. We make it easy for members to move between Membership Type and Pier, so if your family’s needs or schedules change, “no worries.”

What have you got to lose?  Join the club, Your Boat Club, because when it comes to boating, we’ve got your back!
