While Ely may be called the End of the Road, it is certainly the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is home to world renown dining, lodging and shopping making for an impressive last stop before heading out into the BWCA. If you are coming for a summer visit, Ely offers some of the best fishing, hiking and fat tire/mountain biking trails in northern MN. You could also take a guided fishing trip, or guided wildlife tour. A winter visit could find you learning how to snowshoe, cross country skiing, or taking a guided dog sled trip. Some other must-see attractions include, the North American Bear Center, the International Wolf Center, the Dorothy Molter Museum, Sibley Mine Tours, Pillow Rock and the Hegman Lake pictographs. Welcome to YBC – Farm Lake! Located on the White Iron Chain in Ely, MN, at Timber Trail Lodge, Farm Lake is the perfect northern getaway!
White Iron Lake is a large, moderately-deep lake located within the Superior National Forest and is five miles east of Ely, Minnesota. The chain includes Farm Lake, Garden Lake, White Iron Lake and South Farm Lake.
Welcome to YBC – Forest Lake! Just 27 miles northeast of St. Paul, Forest Lake is a quiet and quaint boating destination for fishermen and families alike. The lake itself is a series of 3 interconnected lakes, with Lake 1 linking to Lake 2 and Lake 2 linking to Lake 3 by clearly marked channels. The YBC marina is located on Lake 1 at Lakeside Park in Downtown Forest Lake.
Don’t be fooled - though Forest Lake is considered one of our metro locations, it’s a great destination if you’re looking to stay closer to the cities but get that feeling of solitude.
Welcome to YBC – Green Lake! This location opened in 2022 and is located in Spicer, Minnesota at Green Lake County Park.
Welcome to YBC – Gull Lake! At nearly 10,000 acres, Gull is the largest lake in the Brainerd area, and is connected to eight smaller lakes through a series of navigable channels, but Gull Lake is the granddaddy of them all, rated the best fishing hole of the bunch.
Welcome to YBC – Leech Lake! Leech Lake is the third largest lake entirely within Minnesota’s borders, sitting at 112,000 acres. This location opened in 2022 at Bluewater Lodge on Leech Lake.
Located at Chase on the Lake, this YBC location is #2 on the beautiful Leech Lake.
Welcome to YBC – Madison Lake! Known as one of the more popular lakes in Southern Minnesota, Madison Lake is a great place to come and relax.
Welcome to YBC – Mille Lacs Garrison Marina! Mille Lacs is a large-yet-shallow lake is located just 30 minutes from Brainerd and roughly 80 miles north of the Twin Cities. This 132,516 acre lake covers a total of 207 square miles and is Minnesota’s second-largest inland lake. Mille Lacs provides a quick opening for a fun weekend getaway and is sure to be the memory-making destination you’re looking for.

According to lakeminnetonka.com, “the lake was formed by glacial melting in the last ice age, and covers 125 miles of shoreline. This massive, sprawling body of water is actually 40 virtually independent bodies of water.”

Welcome to YBC on the Mississippi River located in St. Paul, MN!
Please note the following boating parameters: Customers can only go as far south as River Heights Marina in Inver Grove Heights. Mississippi Pub and Overboard Bar and Grill are great markers for knowing how far to go. They also have transient slips, but be sure to check their hours by clicking. Thank you for your cooperation!
Welcome to YBC – Pokegama! This 6,700-acre lake near Grand Rapids, MN, is the largest of a series of lakes on the Upper Mississippi River that includes Jay Gould Lake, Little Jay Gould Lake and others. Though its shoreline is well developed, the lake is deep, clear and has a reputation for producing above-average walleyes, according to Team Northland angler Brian “Bro” Brosdahl (Northland Fishing Tackle).
Welcome to YBC – North Long Lake! This is a new location for 2022 and we are very excited to bring boating further into the Brainerd area of Minnesota. This location was formerly Northern Cowboy.
Welcome to YBC – Schneiders Lake! Nestled on the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes, (also known as the Sauk River) Schneiders Lake is a great place to visit in the Cold Spring area!
The Sauk River Chain of Lakes is located in south central Minnesota, near the city of Richmond. At 54 acres, Schneiders Lake on the Horseshoe Chain is one of the beloved stops for locals and visitors alike.
Welcome to YBC – Prior Lake! Lower and Upper Prior Lake boast 1400 acres of boating. With Mystic Lake casinos nearby and the Twin Cities just out of earshot, Prior Lake is a popular and spacious boating paradise.
Welcome to YBC on the St. Croix River! Located between Wisconsin and Minnesota, the St. Croix offers miles of pristine beauty, peaceful solitude, and outstanding fishing for almost every species in the Midwest. Be aware that high water levels in the spring and after high rains can produce unpredictable and swift currents and moving debris such as logs, docks, whole trees, and other wayward items. Low water levels can introduce hazards such as stumps and rocks above and below the water’s surface.
Welcome to YBC – Lake Vermilion! This is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world, with nearly 40,000 acres of water and a maximum depth of 76 feet. There are over 300 islands scattered throughout the lake and hundreds of protected bays. The lake is well marked with buoys and channel markers. It is usually easy to find a calm bay somewhere on the lake to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Welcome to YBC – White Bear Lake! Your Boat Club is located across from the Kowalski’s Parking Lot, sandwiched between Admiral D’s and Tally’s.
White Bear is an attractive recreational lake due to it’s primarily sandy bottom, large size (2,400 acres) and close proximity to the Twin Cities. The lake can get busy on weekends in the summer. White Bear is a large, deep lake for skiers, tubers, and sun-bathers to enjoy! There’s plenty of open water for boating fun!
