Spend the day cruising Lake Minnetonka, explore its scenic bays and charming lakeside towns, anchor at a quiet cove for a swim, soak up the sunshine, or dock at one of the lake’s popular waterfront restaurants—all from the comfort of one of our premium boats.
Please note that there will be active construction in the area near our marina during your visit.
Construction is expected to start in May and go through November 2026. This will affect people traveling from East to West via 394/Hwy 12. To ensure a smooth arrival:
Two Car Limit: Each reservation is permitted to park two vehicles on-site at the marina.
Carpool: Coordinate with your guests to carpool as much as possible.

We are open from 8am-dusk every day of the week. Please call 612-263-7869 for holiday hours.

Parking at the Smith’s Bay Marina can be a bit tight on busy weekends and is limited to two vehicles per boat. Please do whatever you can to consolidate vehicles between you and your guests.

We offer annual boat club memberships for convenient, year-round access to our fleet, as well as daily and multi-day boat rentals for vacations, special occasions, or spontaneous days on the water. Whether you want to make boating part of your lifestyle or enjoy it for just a day, we make it easy to get on the water without owning a boat.
Ice is for sale on site.
Gas is available to the public.
Note: Rental and member boat reservations will come with a full tank of gas. This is separate from the boat rental cost and you will be charged for the fuel you use on your trip upon your return.

Lake Minnetonka is made for dock-and-dine adventures. Cruise over to Maynards in Excelsior, Lord Fletcher's Old Lake Lodge in Spring Park, or Cabana Anna’s at The Shoreline Hotel. For more waterfront dining, head to Wayzata for 6Smith or COV Wayzata. Dock the boat at the public docks, grab a table on the patio or rooftop deck, and enjoy great food and Lake Minnetonka views before heading back out on the water.
