Welcome to YBC on the St. Croix River! Located between the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota, the St. Croix offers miles of pristine beauty, peaceful solitude and outstanding fishing for almost every species in the Midwest. Be aware that high water levels in the spring and after high rains can produce unpredictable and swift currents and moving debris such as logs, docks, whole trees and other wayward items. Low water levels can introduce hazards such as stumps and rocks both above and below the water’s surface.
Please note the following boating parameters: Can boat as far North as the High Bridge, Kinnikinic State Park and as far South as Prescott. Boaters are not permitted to go into the Mississippi River. Can go to Hudson, WI.

Parking: Parking is available on the West side of the Wolf Marine building, staff will direct you. Can unload by the boat house.
Check In: At the blue boat house to the right of Wolfe Marine.

Popular fishing includes: Walleye, Sauger, Northern Pike, Muskellunge, Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Catfish, Lake Sturgeon
According to the Minnesota DNR webpage,“Fishing this portion of the St. Croix can be a great experience. Angling opportunities are limited by access and shallow areas which restrict the use of larger boats. Walleye, sauger and smallmouth bass are the primary target of anglers fishing this stretch of river. A variety of other fish offer additional opportunities. Sturgeon, muskellunge, white bass and catfish are just some of the fish anglers can seek.”

OTHER ACTIVITIESExploring downtown Stillwater on foot is a great activity as well! There are many local shops, restaurants, and other attractions to stop at. There are places for art lovers, like a unique bead shop called Art’n Soul, and multiple art galleries, including: Stillwater Guild Art Gallery, Galeria Saro, and Indigo Creek Gallery. While you’re exploring downtown, be sure to walk the Historic Stillwater Lift Bridge, which used to connect Stillwater to Hudson but is now a historic icon downtown that you can walk over.

Tubing is allowed for members only at this location (Not allowed for renters).
Tube & rope is available for members with a boat reservation, at no additional cost with annual membership.

Gas: No public gas available.
Rental and member boat reservations will come with a full tank of gas. This is separate from the boat rental cost and you will be charged for the fuel you use on your trip upon your return.
